Facebook Page Access – How a Notary Public Can Help

I regularly assist clients who have lost access to a Facebook page they previously managed. This often involves business pages, but it can just as easily be a personal page.
Common situations include:

  • The former page administrator has left the business and deleted the account that held admin rights.
  • Your Facebook account was hacked, forcing you to change logins and losing access in the process.
  • Administrative permissions were accidentally removed or assigned to an account that no longer exists.

Why Is a Notary Public Involved?

To regain access, Facebook requires a hand-signed, notarised statement. This document must clearly state:

  • That you are the rightful owner or authorised representative of the page
  • The reasons you can no longer access it
  • Any supporting details Facebook may request

Your signature must be officially notarised to confirm your identity and the truthfulness of the declaration. In many cases, Facebook will also ask for supporting evidence to prove ownership.

How I Can Help

Not only can I notarise your signature, but I can also assist in drafting the required Facebook statement, ensuring it meets Facebook’s criteria and contains all essential information.
