Notarising a document

A document signed by a notary public in order to make it official or legal. Notarisation is commonly used when your document is to be used abroad, we witness your signature, make a notarised copy of an original document, verify UK company documents and other notarial services. Legalising a document (Apostille)

An apostille can only be issued by The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office in Milton Keynes. The Legalisation Office (FCDO) will receive the document and verify the signatures, stamps or seals match their own records. Legalisation is the authentication of the Notaries signature, seal, stamp, when the documents are to be used in certain countries. Birth certificates, Death Certificates, Marriage Certificates, court documents and various company documents issued in the UK do not need a notarising and can be apostilled on the original document. Notarisation of documents

Notarial services such as a Notarisation of one document will take approximately thirty minutes. This involves Steven Dasgupta the Notary Public verifying identities, authorities, drafting the notarial certificate, sealing the certificate and completing the client registration record. A passport and proof of address is required for the notarisation. Once completed you will receive a hard copy and a scanned soft copy to your email of the Notarised document along with your receipt of payment.

There is a minimum document notarisation fee of £60 depending on the type of document. Call the Notary today to check he is available and book an appointment to not be kept waiting. Notarisations are completed whilst you wait in our accommodating offices. If additional legalisation with apostille or consular attestation on your documentation is required the process will take longer, in such case we can post your document back to you by Special delivery in the UK, DHL express abroad or when notified you can return to the Notary office to collect your completed documents.

Our inboxes and telephone lines are constantly monitored, with a goal of getting back to any enquiry as soon as possible, regardless of it is sent after conventional “office hours” or at weekends.
