It was my first time using a notary, and Sophie and Steven made verifying my legal documents easy. They were friendly, approachable, and highly professional. They were very accommodating when it came to booking. Super affordable! Will be using them again when needed.

Notary fees in the UK – how much does it cost?

In accordance with the Notarial Practice Rules, we, as Notaries in the United Kingdom, will provide a written cost quotation or the mechanism which we use to calculate fees before undertaking any work on behalf of our clients.

In the UK, a notary fee for a single document typically ranges from around £40 to £100 (plus VAT) depending on the complexity of the document and the service required, with personal documents generally costing less than business documents

Check the cost of your Notarisation. Before booking an appointment, please feel free to email: notary@inotarypublic.co.uk and we will provide you with an accurate quotation and well as the availability of the Notary Public, so that we can get your documents processed as soon as possible.

How do we work out our fees?
Many factors go into calculating an accurate quote for a notarisation of documents, these include:

Type of notarisation
Type of document and the country in which the notarised document is to be used
Number of documents requiring notarisation
Checks and authentication required before the document can be processed
Translation of the document if required

Our Notary can come to you.
A mobile notary appointment for a meeting involving less than 30 minutes travel time from our offices in Waterloo is charged at £150 + VAT plus the cost of notarisation.

We charge on a per document basis, although if home or office visits are required, there is a large volume of documents, or the notarisation required is very complex, an hourly service rate may be applied. Please feel free to contact us to discuss discounted rates for large volumes of documents.
